Look At Me

I just watched Look At Me. A French movie about an overweight young woman, her trés famous writer/publisher father, and a swirling cast of family and friends. Lolita, the daughter, is played effectively and beautifully. The basic outline of plot goes a little something like this:

Lolita's father is famous. Lolita is overweight. Many people only bother talking to Lolita to get to her father. Her father is an incredibly charming but self-absorbed person who manages to do many hurtful things without ever realizing it. The movie is better than this and there is a slew of other people but that's the main gist.

Also. Jessica Simpson and Nick no more! I thought their love was for real.
Also. Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes having a baby! I thought their love was creepy and fake.
