Boursin-filled Mushrooms, Smoked Salmon and More

Months and months and months ago - New Year's in fact - M. and I started talking about how we should really finally make a go on a long held dream of ours. A 'cheese tour' dream that started I couldn't even tell you. Some time after our European tour of 2000. Basically we wanted to choose a region in France, rent a house, and drive around to different cheese farms (and maybe vineyards) trying out the local goods. It was an ambitious idea, quickly made challenging by M.'s busy school schedule and the overwhelming number of places to go and houses potentially for rent. In the end we didn't follow through with the planning necessary, and decided that we could see each other and have some sort of smaller adventure in late July/August. This adventure you will soon learn all about, but before we truly embarked I drove up to the country for an evening with M., A. and S. I arrived to a freshly lit grill, Boursin-filled mushrooms, and many other treats.
Treats like a tasty, ooey-gooey brie and...hmm I can't remember if this was Humboldt Fog, Truffle Tremor or something else entirely.
And these cute little salmon/creme fraiche treats. A. also made a fresh mozzarella/tomato/basil plate that looked delightful, but I had actually made myself a very similar dish for lunch so ended up passing.
We had the choice of mustard chicken or burger. Well, I tried both. I think we all did.
Thanks to all for the wonderful welcome and excellent spread!
