The boyfriend and I went to Pilsen today to check out the Mexican Fine Arts Museum. I'm going to have to write a little something about the place for my travel writing class and thought it might be good to check it out before our all class field trip (woo). On the way there our train stopped in between stations for almost forty minutes, this was our view:
The museum has an exhibit on the day of the dead. Lots of beautiful ofrendas.
Also got to see a painting by an artist who uses 'semen acrylic'...I thought how funny it would be if that actually meant semen...then I read more and found that it was actual semen mixed with paint. The picture above is not semen based, I just thought it rather beautiful.
