A blog chronicling my departure from urban life on the east coast to sheep farm and cheese making life on the west coast. Still recounting the meals I have eaten in my new setting, but with more sheep thrown into the mix.

A New Method
So, to visit my mom's room, we had to wear gloves and a mask in an effort to prevent nasty little anythings from jumping from our mouths or hands to her compromised immune system. You kind of get used to it, though I found using a computer's built in mouse a challenge...and that there is definitely something to be said for breath mints. But the most important thing gained (other than keeping my mother from getting an infection) was the realization that this look is a pretty foolproof way to hide a double chin.

healing vibes going out to your mom!
please tell me you won't be carrying around hospital masks for use in your future photos:) your smile is far too delightful for that! besides, food bloggers can't cover their mouths. oh no, i called you a food blogger! i don't think you've slapped such a label on yourself? not sure. well, there it is!
God, I hope you and your mom are ok.
Great pic.
thank you kindly.
the other night i wished i had a mask to prevent my nose from smelling the copious amounts of aftershave the maitre d was wearing. i think there should be a rule that if you work in a restaurant, you don't wear cologne. that's it. the rule.
