A blog chronicling my departure from urban life on the east coast to sheep farm and cheese making life on the west coast. Still recounting the meals I have eaten in my new setting, but with more sheep thrown into the mix.

Chicago Readers
Hello Chicago readers (all five of you) I'm in a bit of a quandary...I want a hair cut and to update my highlights...but on the cheap...and within the next three days...where should I go?

Go to Big Hair on Roscoe. They cut, stripped, and dyed my hair after the pink streaking fiasco and all for $75. They will take an appointment for color, but you have to sit there just for a haircut.
i went to a new girl today and i LOVE her ...Lisa referred me ...the cut was $50 ...i'm sure a color would be a much more ...but she really talks to you about your hair and how much time you spend styling (for me that would be none) and she even walked me through how i can style it myself at home.
I would check out the Aveda Institute at Clark and Diversey in the Century Shopping Mall. I've only had my brows waxed there - they are students in training but it would be affordable. But then again you might end up with something you don't like.
aveda institute definitely...just got mine done there. It takes longer, but was totally good, and very entertaining. Professors come over and tell them what to do, so you feel like there is no confusion about what you want.
Thank you all for your suggestions. I went with Big Hair simply because it was the first offered. I'll report back, sans pictures of course, after I go tomorrow!
