A blog chronicling my departure from urban life on the east coast to sheep farm and cheese making life on the west coast. Still recounting the meals I have eaten in my new setting, but with more sheep thrown into the mix.

Whitefish and Salad
Last night I poached some white fish in white wine, olive oil and cut up shallots. I also made a salad. The whitefish came out quite fine, texturally. But in terms of taste it lacked a heck of a lot. Needed salt. I thought the wine would have given the fish a little 'zing'. But there was no zing. The salad had a sesame oil/soy sauce/ginger/garlic dressing.
