On Tuesday (was it Tuesday?) the boyfriend and I went to Sunflower Markets' sneak peek event. Sunflower Markets is a new organic friendly grocery store. We got to attend this event through my chicagoist hook up....you can read my write up about the place here. I didn't take the photographs, Rachelle did ( I think ).
I would like to point out that the above is not a haiku...6 syllables is not 5.
This guy's name was Clevon.

Where are you finding the sixth syllable? I only get five in both the first and the last line.
1. Spher 2. ic 3. al 4. and 5. sweet
1. Rim 2. of 3. glass 4. works 5. too
Could you kindly tell the folks at the sunflower store about a place called Farmville, Virginia, that could use a store like it?
1. Plus 2. the 3. so 4.ur 5. can't 6. be 7. beat
Sour scanned as two syllables is a little dubious. Of course, 5 7 5 refers to Kanji characters and is pretty irrelevant to English-language haiku. Of course, Haiku don't have end-rhymes either. A produce department should have enough English majors in it to realize this...
To my ear "sour" rhymes withy words like "hour", "power", and "shower". In my vernacular these all have two syllables.
