Yesterday I spent most of my time making a Manchego cheese, broccoli and chicken sandwich loaf. I followed Margaux Sky's directions and for the first time in my life made bread, from beginning to end, successfully. Pastry type bread people, it was amazing. Her new book has a trillion ways to make bread/sandwiches in addition to the sandwich loaf. I'm already thinking what I can put into my own special sandwich loaf, but still following her directions in terms of the dough. Other meals have been eaten this weekend. But I'll get them to later. Right now feast upon the sandwich loaf...and tune into Chicagoist around Monday for a step by step view of the monster sandwich loaf beast.
