Last night, after looking around my kitchen for forty five minutes, I went to Tokyo Marina for sushi.
Tokyo Marina is, unlike Sushi Lux, brightly lit and decidedly unhip. The decor not planned out within an inch of its life and the menu not made of thirty five dollar paper. In other words, I liked Tokyo Marina.
I had a miso soup (that arrived without a spoon, but that's okay) a "Boston Roll" (salmon skin, daikon, avocado and japanese mayonaise), masago (smelt roe) and one unagi hand roll. I also had a small hot sake for $2.75 (cheap). I left feeling full, satisfied and not completely broke.
Five golden stars.
