A blog chronicling my departure from urban life on the east coast to sheep farm and cheese making life on the west coast. Still recounting the meals I have eaten in my new setting, but with more sheep thrown into the mix.

Still Rather Freakin' Cold
I took these photographs on Sunday. It was snowing again. And cold.

Pretty but a nuisance no doubt.
We, with the gentleman caller, are going skiing, maybe, if it is not 50 mph winds and raining. The mountains in western NC got a huge dumper of three back to back snow storms so there is snow au naturale. Given that I have not been on a ski or two in hmmmm 30 years this bodes to be either hilarious or tragic. Given that the teenager wants neither to ski nor snow tube her attitude could be royally awful.
The plus: we can leave the snow and ice and roaring winds behind and simply go home to where it is marginally bumpy (not even good and hilly), fairly warmish with daffodils blooming, and if we are lucky, raining. Could be funny...
