Saturday Fun Time

So K. and I played some mad Rummy when he came to visit. Drinking our drinks on the back porch with J.D. by our sides. And every once and a while Marla would make an appearance as well.
Sometimes I won by a lot. Some times I did not. I love playing cards and shooting the shit. All I want to do with the majority of my free time is sit outside, playing a game of cards (or Catan...sigh) and talking to someone whose company I enjoy....especially when I get to jackal the hell out of somebody.

I have been a bit distracted, what with goofing off at the beach and not paying attention to the world. Riding bikes and parasailing OH WOW so here is the thing:

This dog looks a lot like a longer leggedy version of the white lab plus we don't know what else who lives with us. This dog in the picture looks totally content, ours still has ownership issues and get in your face issues, but I am so here to tell you that a white lab-ish dog is a good dog to have with you while you play cards. Even one with a weird spot in his eye; he and his eyes are 90 percent normal, and then, like his eye, there is that crazy ten percent of whacko. Maybe an early iteration of Jack Nicholson As Dog. I dunno.

And I have come late to Psych but think it is a totally hilarious reinvention of Columbo and its ilk.

Sad the summer is basically gone: high school no make that HIGH SCHOOL starts for the resident teen next week, as does grad school phase two for the resident old fart.

Dogs. Can I come back as my dog? Such a life...

I am thinking of asking Santa for a complete and updated version of According to Hoyle, for every card game known to man, and some known only to monkeys. There was a brief moment at the beach of Now what exactly are these rules for that solitaire...Guidance could be good.

J.D. is a pretty happy dog. It may be because he's Jewish. I don't really know. He's an older dog but still a people lover...I couldn't go inside the house for longer than thirty seconds before he'd heave himself up to follow me...and it wasn't about food.

Psych is a great show. I'm glad you clicked on that link, I love that whole thing sooooo much!

Yeah, summer is gone and I feel like I haven't done anything with it...other than get a job and work the job.

Sigh. Here comes fall.
