Last night I finished reading Look At Me by Jennifer Egan. This book did a number of interesting and rather unexpected things through the plot and shifting narratives. At first it seems to be a story about one woman, Charlotte, a model who has just been in a terrible car accident resulting in her entire face being broken. Interesting enough but weave in about five other characters' perspectives and a terrorist to boot and you've got yourself an interesting read.
Hey, it was even a National Book Award Finalist. Can't beat that...unless you actually won the National Book Award, then, I guess, you could beat that.
