A few stray thoughts on the brink of my Tennessee departure:
1. How deep does a dog bite need to be to require stitches?
2. Are there any tasty lunch spots between here and Scottsville, VA that I should consider for lunch?
3. At this particular moment those are the two big questions.

I think the bleeding has to be pretty uncontrollable to get stitches - also, if it's been over 12 hours doctors don't usually suggest stiches anyways. Just got bit by my dog a few weeks ago and had to ask myself that same question! Good news is that dog bites rarely get infected vs. cat bites.
Oh dear. A deep bite might not ever need stitches but oh boy howdy it needs to be thoroughly cleaned and cleaned again.........Got nothin' on the food in VA issue......HOT ow wow it is HOT. Don't overheat the FIT.
