Thanks to Erin and NC Catherine for their thoughts on proper dog bite etiquette. J., my friend whose house I am currently visiting, said that it's not that bad a bite. She has two young sons who get their fair share of cuts and wounds, so I'm taking her word for it (and Bactine).
