There are some pretty raging forest fires on the Georgia/Florida line due (I would think) in part to the fact that Georgia hasn't had a good rain since early March. So the drive back looked, at times, like this. Also at the boyfriend's house you can occasionally smell the smoke.
The smoke was also in Huntsville and could be seen in the distance when you got to the bottom of the mountain on Wednesday.
