There was another page in memory of him put up a long time ago. I can't remember where it was and I can't find it now. I hope this one stays up forever.

I'm from HPHS Class of 1999. I knew Carter from middle school. A friend to talk to in the PE locker room at McCulloch. I was not one of the popular kids. It was very nice of him to transcend middle school social boundaries. The world didn't have to wait an entire year for a new post!!!

Life goals are quite strange and, in many cases, very intimidating to think about. Each year I see so many of mine sitting out there with no progress made toward them. We only know Stan from the markets and bumping around town but his warmth, humor and kindness glows like the morning sun. Another friend of ours, similar age and just as beloved, suffered a serious fall two winters back. He was determined to do whatever he could to become whole again. We wrote, videos were sent, but we were absolutely astonished to meet him in Sea-Tac, on his way to an Alaska vacation with his family, and see him walk into the terminal. Bad things happen to good people, but so do good things. Stan, you'll be back. I am still shocked by the accident and the impact on his life and hope to find a way to see him soon.
So many memories of fun on his family's land before sheep with camping and nude volleyball on the beach! So normal of Stan to be taking care of others and sharing his spontaneity.
Best times with Stan were on the bus at Shi Shi beach and then to the Enchantments hiking and fishing in some earlier freer days. Get him to tell some tales!
Remarkable to see how he and Lynn have created the idyllic land of sheep and so many views that echo Scotland. Love seeing him be the shepherd and hope to see him back to his land again.Deehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00478759772563317442noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12645697.post-11212390794276916482016-01-09T01:06:16.896-05:002016-01-09T01:06:16.896-05:00Thank you souch for this beautifully written testa...Thank you souch for this beautifully written testament to your love of the.man Stan. And chickens who will sit on your head and not poop, well, those are awesome chickens. Caterpillars en masse I agree are something not awesome.Huge ew factor. Here in NC we are now experiencing hot and I am hoping my slightly sun deprived tomatoes get their groove on. Plenty of theoretical sun, overhanging branches from my neighbor interfering with actual sun. All incentives for moving the garden 8 feet out into sunny land. And retraining the dogs....you look great even with chickens in your hair!nc catherinenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12645697.post-89578948271120707622014-06-06T20:47:01.694-04:002014-06-06T20:47:01.694-04:00Its like you went back 10yrs or more reminds me of...Its like you went back 10yrs or more reminds me of when we met :)
You look great and so happy !Rayanoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12645697.post-76849267839582903962014-05-10T21:09:58.297-04:002014-05-10T21:09:58.297-04:00Caroline, I don't know if this is for posting ...Caroline, I don't know if this is for posting (I leave that up to you), but it is for reading by you. My mother died 50 and a half years ago and I still think about her, in some way, every day. Mostly, now, I wonder if she would like me. I don't know (she only knew me for the first 16 years of my life after all), and for some reason it matters a lot. I know she would love me, and I know she loved me more than any other person I have ever known or loved. And that matters too. Your post so rings true for me, not in the specifics (I knew your mother only briefly), but in the matter of mothers and their mattering. Thank you for writing it.Robley Hhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06192998362490594858noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12645697.post-26223056963935152132014-03-20T21:25:43.586-04:002014-03-20T21:25:43.586-04:00You're absolutely right about the medicine. Same for any medication Lizzie was on. I noticed earlier in the season the other girl commented that she wasn't right in the head.

As for a map, there's no telling how far the writers of the show have intended them to walk at this point, but the filming locations are plotted here: http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&hl=en&msa=0&msid=207359767003592801519.000496a3cdd937ab6cb68&ll=33.292727,-84.535332&spn=0.088245,0.079737&t=h&z=14&vpsrc=6&iwloc=0004b1424ec46951c6033

Glad I'm not the only one wondering about the metrics of the show.Deehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07494773010539201487noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12645697.post-7197664166444137382014-03-19T13:29:24.609-04:002014-03-19T13:29:24.609-04:00Thanks anonymous.
